Dear Families,

We hope you all had an enjoyable and beautiful Spring Break. As we move forward with the remainder of the school year and Phase 4, general education teachers have provided optional assignments that will serve as a review of material taught in the first three quarters of the school year.  The assignments are optional and just suggestions. Feel free to structure the days as you see fit with your family’s schedule.

In an effort to support our students, Mrs. Hendrick and Ms. Lewis are collaborating with general education teachers and will be co-teaching when possible in the scheduled general education classroom Zoom meetings.

Additionally, we are both available with online office hours on Tuesdays 1-2 PM.  We are always available via email, but this is time set aside for phone conferences, immediate email communication, or any other assistance needed.

Hello Parents and Families:

During this time of uncertainty, we realize that navigating through this “new normal” is challenging and difficult for all of us.  Please remember we are in this together and we are here for you with any questions or concerns you have.  Classroom teachers are continuing to update their class web page with materials and information.  If you choose to have your child review material while at home, please know that we are available to help as needed.  To alleviate stress, you or your child might be feeling, we have set up Zoom accounts to provide 1:1 conferencing capability. If this is something you would like to schedule, please email us to schedule a time.

Additionally, we are not scheduling or rescheduling any meetings at this time, but Mrs. Kilgore will be in touch when we get further information.

We miss you and are thinking of you!

Dear Families,

We wish everyone the very best during this time students are out of school. Educational sites are listed to the right.  Please also visit the webpage for your child's general education teacher for additional information.  If you need assistance differentiating or accommodating your child's learning during this time, please send us an email.

We look forward to seeing everyone safe and healthy soon!

Mrs. Hendrick and Ms. Lewis

Welcome back to a new school year! We are excited for the opportunity to get to know you and are looking forward to a happy and productive school year full of fun, learning, and adventure!

We work collaboratively with general education teachers and related service personnel.  It is helpful to email the entire team (general education teacher, special education teacher and related service staff) with any questions or concerns to ensure effective communication and continuity of services.

This year, IEP meetings will be held on Wednesdays during school hours (9AM- 3:30 PM).

Your child’s case manager is the point of contact for all IEP related needs; however, services may be provided by any of the LD staff (Mrs. Hendrick, Ms. Lewis, or the Teaching Assistant) to best meet your child’s needs.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by e-mail or phone 703-753-1702.
