Letter from the Encore Team

Dear Glenkirk Students and Parents,

We hope everyone is doing well at home. We miss seeing all of you in person but have enjoyed getting to see some of you during Zoom meetings with your class. We hope you are taking the time to read books, create art, make music and be active.

Each week we will post a list of activities from each encore class. These are divided into K-2 and 3-5. We encourage you to give these a try and stay connected with us. Let us know what you are enjoying and what you would like to see more of. You can also visit our encore websites for other resources and activities.

We can’t wait to see everyone in person this fall!

Sincerely,

Your Encore Team

(Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Dorn, Mr. K, Ms. Pennington, Mrs. Reagan, Mrs. Vigil and Mr. Wild)

Fun School Counseling Activities You Can Do At Home!

During our guidance lessons we have practiced taking deep breaths as a way to cope when we are feeling nervous/worried, sad, mad or any other strong feelings. Take a look at this fun video featuring Mrs. Anderson and her daughter Claire! Send me an email and a video/picture (if you'd like) of you practicing cupcake breathing! andersea@pwcs.edu

Below is a link to an activity page that incorporates lots of the things we have learned this school year so far. Feel free to try one of these each day.
