ATTENTION NEW GLENKIRK FAMILIES

Would you like to know more about the school and the community? Would you like to meet other new families? 2nd Quarter STAR Incentive RESCHEDULED!

Students in grades 2nd-5th are invited to participate in the STAR Incentive for good behavior rescheduled for next Friday, February 12th. We will work on a schedule that will coordinate with Glenkirk classrooms' Valentine Celebrations. Students are encouraged to bring in their favorite games and enjoy "game time" with their grade level friends. Teachers will participate in their own challenge before each incentive begins! Glenkirk Elementary School Library Presents... Reading R.O.C.K.S. Challenge

Starting the first week of February there will be a weekly challenge for ALL students to participate in that will help expand their reading talents. For eight consecutive weeks a different weekly challenge will be announced. Every week there will be a drawing held to pick students, who participated and turned in their Reading R.O.C.K.S. form, to win a prize. SOAR at Home Website

SOAR is a FREE WEBSITE that provides STUDENTS and PARENTS with resources... Students in grades 3 through 12 have access to comprehensive and skill specific tests to help identify skills that students have mastered and skills where additional instruction might be needed. Assessments are aligned to state learning standards and immediate feedback is provided to students and parents. Click here for an informational flyer.
